This is a wood-burning of Hel, the ruler of Helheim, the realm of the dead in Norse lore. The runes say “Hail Hel. Half Living one. Keeper of the Dead. Dweller of Eljudnir” This is an original design, burned onto pine (the art of pyrography) and stained with acrylic paint. Plaque measures 9x12, is varnished with a non-toxic , non yellowing satin polyurethane finish and has a sawtooth hanger on the back for hanging.
